The Analytics Lead is responsible for overseeing the category data analytics capability for Global Procurement, with the goal of informing and enabling category strategies through data-driven decision making. This role will lead a team responsible for supporting all category data analytics initiatives across all functions and regions within Global Procurement. This role is expected to deliver advanced analysis at scale and work closely with the category leadership teams across Global Procurement to ensure that all decisions are augmented with insights wherever possible. It is key for this individual to closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to define / determine capability requirements and leverage internal and external data sources to full-fill needs. This role is accountable for driving excellence in the delivery of data analytics and continuous improvement of capability .

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


Oversee the development of data analytics and formulation of insights that inform business demand across categories / sub-functions
Oversee integration of data into one place, conduct data profilingand quality review
Ensure data is analyzed and prepared into actionable information for the business
Use data to support 3-5 year supply plan, sub-category plans, multi-year productivity plan, budget and financial projections, integration with buying channels and service delivery, sourcing projects, supplier negotiations, and supplier relationship management
Provide prioritized analytics on supplier spend, category spend, and pricing for high risk items (to ensure compliance to contracts)
Deliver Intelligent data models at scale that power cross-functional / cross-market teams (i.e. building out applications, leveraging Big Data & Data Science)
Identify and drive transformational opportunities and provide overall value though capabilities, including revenue and savings projections
Work with Business Partnering & Strategy teams to define business issues and requirements
Leverage internal end external data sources to identify transformational opportunities against strategies
Manage analytics team to support in the identification and implementation of opportunities
Build and maintain networks within and outside of the organization to both strengthen understanding or data analytics capabilities and strengthen depth of analysis required to maximize results
Bring and develop external perspectives and insights aligned to business objectives and maintains an awareness of market developments for capability
Work with teams beyond (e.g., IT, Business Intelligence & Analytics) to build best-in-class solutions in alignment to company wide objectives
Ensures teams are responsible for contributing beyond their own function
Proactively connects teams, networks and individuals in order to increase organizational performance
Oversee Analytics Capability within Global Procurement in close collaboration with centralized Strategy, Process, and Capabilities teams
Direct all initiatives and strategic decisions for the group, including all budgetary matters and management of resources
Define targets for capability and reporting mechanisms
Lead performance evaluation, reviews, and own development of direct reports within the Analytics team
Formulate, revise, and communicate strategy for the capability


Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:


B.S./B.A.
Minimum of 8-10 years of business experience
Minimum of 6-8 years of multi-disciplined procurement experience or similar procurement experience
Minimum of 2 years Pharmaceutical Procurement experience
Experience leading and participating on cross-functional and/or global teams
Managerial experience including managing teams of senior professionals and managers and establishing performance expectations
Internal stakeholder management, data/information management, category management, process redesign and continuous improvement expertise, project management and performance measurement skills
Procurement process knowledge, contract management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier diversity, supplier management, technology utilization, strategic planning and integrated supply chain experience


Preferred Qualifications:


M.S./M.B.A.
Professional certifications (e.g. CPM, CPIM).
4 years Pharmaceutical Procurement experience
Membership in Professional Associations, e.g. ISM
