Summary
This position will report to and support the Chief Medical Officer, Global Drug Development. We are looking for a dynamic, performance driven, well organized and flexible individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This individual must be able to work independently and make decisions on behalf of the CMO, Global Drug Development in regard to calendar and travel events, as well as understand how to work professionally with matrix teams. Confidentiality is crucial to this position.
Perform highly diverse and complex administrative functions, including but not limited to proactive calendar management, domestic and international travel arrangements, preparing expense reportsResponsible for the organization and planning of complex and sometimes remote meetings across multiple time zonesDemonstrate flexibility in personal work schedule to provide support during domestic and international travelAnticipate needs of manager and/or team, and take appropriate steps to produce desired outcome with minimal assistance from supervisor with accuracy and efficiency to meet all deadlinesInterface in a professional manner with BMS Board Members, senior executives and matrix team members, as well as work in a group setting with the LT administrative staff. Handle confidential information with discretion and demonstrate diplomacy and excellent judgment in dealing with sensitive situationsAnticipate key issues and implement action plans based on changing priorities and commitments. Be able and willing to adapt to constant change and have the ability to quickly course correct when necessaryExhibit a positive work attitude, high productivity and a collaborative approach with other employees across an international environmentPrioritize activities and take action based on an understanding of department objectives, customer needs and BMS business strategiesAnticipate and create contingency plans to deal with possible problems and roadblocks
Requirements
Successful candidate must possess at least 10 years of administrative experience with significant experience supporting an executiveBachelor's Degree preferredCandidate must possess strong interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of management internally and externallyExperience in working with international teams is desirableStrong communication skills including excellent verbal and written skillsProven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, discretion and good judgmentCandidate must have experience acting as lead to group of administrative assistants
