Clinical Research Associate Jobs description

A clinical research associate is responsible for the coordination and implementation of clinical research trials. A clinical research associate monitors the activities at clinical study sites to assure adherence to good clinical practices and study protocols. A clinical research associate participates in clinical training programs and maintains awareness of developments in the field of clinical research as needed. A clinical research associate works with management on monitoring strategies and on developing project-specific CRA training. A clinical research associate works with a team to ensure that essential regulatory documents are acquired, completed, and compliant, and follows up on deficiencies and assists with the maintenance of study files. A clinical research associate assists the project team in the development of plans and protocols for studies and assists with the design and review of informed consent form templates, case report forms, instructions, site-selection materials, procedural manuals, project newsletters, and other project-specific documents.

A clinical research associate position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience. A clinical research associate should have sound knowledge of medical terminology and clinical monitoring processes. A clinical research associate should have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and good attention to details. Computer literacy, proficiency in MS Office, and excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, are also required.
