The Sr. Manager, Medical Affairs Operations will be responsible for implementing and managing key information and functional systems, establishing processes, planning and executing key internal and external meetings/congresses, and driving the visualization of key data and metrics that will be vital to informing the continuing strategic contribution of the US Medical Affairs Function to Idorsia’s success.

The Sr. Manager, Medical Affairs Operations will be an experienced professional with a successful track record in Medical Affairs processes and governance, IT systems and platforms relevant to Medical Affairs and Medical Information, data visualization, and program management. A collaborative, hands- on individual, the successful candidate will have the agility to operate in a dynamic, science-driven environment. S/he will stand out with a quality and efficiency mindset, sense of urgency and the ability to collaborate with a range of functions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

n

 

n
    n
  • Business oversight, integration, and optimization of IT systems across US Medical Affairs in collaboration with Global Medical Affairs, including:
  • n
  • Veeva CRM, Veeva Med Comms, and content management platforms
  • n
  • Driving content plans based on strategy for external microsites; liaising with different stakeholders on content and educational needs.
  • n
  • Grants and ISS platforms
  • n
  • Training of internal medical teams on systems and requirements
  • n
  • Developing an aligned and strategic process for gathering and reporting insights and metrics across US Medical Affairs, including designing visualization dashboards.
  • n
  • Management, tracking and process optimization for external funding requests
  • n
  • KOL planning, preparation, tracking and reporting.
  • n
  • Coordination of HCP consulting agreements and vendor contracts for Medical Affairs; ensure compliant HCP spend tracking
  • n
  • Partnering with US Medical Affairs team members for the preparation of internal audits and inspections; ensuring audit readiness.

  • Planning and execution of key internal and external meetings:
  • n
  • Manage and support all needs for congresses that the US Idorsia affiliate will attend ranging from registration, attendee management, report development and delivery, driving activities to meet deadlines and all internal communications
  • n
  • Creating and supporting the Medical Information Team in tracking and supporting audit and inspection readiness activities (supporting in coordination with the Medical Affairs activities).

  • Optimizing the Global Medical Information metrics and reporting with integration into the wider Medical Affairs dashboards

Qualifications:

n

 

n
    n
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Medical or Science field preferred. Advanced degree preferred.
  • n
  • 5 years experience in Medical Affairs supporting activities such as managing logistics for internal & external meetings & congresses, creating dashboards and presentations to convey Medical Affairs data & metrics.
  • n
  • Project and program management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • n
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to facilitate cross-functional discussions and workstreams.
  • n
  • Experience with supporting requests for grants and sponsorships required
  • n
  • Working knowledge of a range of medical IT systems, such as Medical Information platforms (Mavens MIC, IRMS), Veeva CRM, Veeva MedComms, Veeva Quality, Cybergrants.
  • n
  • Proficient in developing meaningful metrics and reports for various stakeholders at all levels regarding Medical Affairs activities.
  • n
  • Experience creating interactive and impactful visual dashboards for Medical Affairs data.
  • n
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance & GxP standards, together with creating systems that enable capturing relevant information and ensuring adherence to these standards.
  • n
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and team player.

  • Ability to drive delivery of high-quality results in a demanding growth environment.

  • Must have strong writing and communication skills, high level of attention to detail
