Description

The Supervisor, Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician-Doctor Call Queues leads a team of 20-25 associates across three locations. This leader can be based out of Springdale, OH, Glendale, AZ or Irving TX and reports to a manager in Glendale, AZ.

The Supervisor, Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician works within thorough, prescribed guidelines and procedures; uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors to solve basic problems; collaborates with management and top professionals/specialists in selection of methods, techniques, and analytical approach.

Responsibilities

The Supervisor, Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician ensures inventory levels are adequate for dispensing by working with the inventory supply team. This leader supervises a team primarily comprised of non-exempt employees or contingent workforce including directing daily work activities/priorities, time tracking, people recruitment and development, cost management and workforce planning.

Decisions are typically are related to schedule, plans and daily operations. Job responsibilities include the following:


Strives to be technically proficient in department operations.
Utilizes knowledge and experience to provide on-going training and support to team members.
Helps team achieve goals and has responsibility for personnel issues, including required discipline.
Facilitates team meetings
Provides assistance to the team in situations that require problem resolution.
Assures proper planning when implementing process improvement or systematic changes, by involving up and down stream partners and support teams in decision making.
Researches and provides root cause and corrective action plans as necessary.
Leads and empowers direct reports in a way that supports the growth and development of both competencies and contributions.
Conducts performance reviews, motivates team members and create strategies to boost productivity.


Required Qualifications


Must have an active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state
Bachelor's Degree or commensurate work experience
4 - 6 years of related experience
Experience in team leadership or a supervisory position
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Excellent time management, analytical skills, and problem solving abilities
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Associates working in the state of Arizona must comply with the Tobacco Free Hiring Policy (see details below under Additional Information) and upon offer will be subjected to nicotine testing as part of a 10-panel drug test


Preferred Qualifications


Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)
Previous supervisory experience in a mail order setting
