The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist provides
specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic
outcomes for patients. The Clinical Pharmacy
Specialist will assist in the planning and direction of clinical pharmacy
services to achieve optimal medication therapy outcomes. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will participate
in development of new programs, services, practices, and facilitate scholarly
and professional development activities in their area of expertise.
','!*! QUALIFICATIONS Graduated from an Accredited College of
Pharmacy
Licensed or license eligible as a pharmacist in
the Commonwealth of Kentucky
Training/Experience:
Post-Graduate Year 2 (PGY-2) Specialty Residency required plus 3
years of experience in specialty area OR
Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY-1) Pharmacy Residency required plus 5
years of experience in specialty area ORMinimum of 10 years of experience in specialty areaCurrent Board certification by Board of
Pharmacy Specialties® within area of expertise if available,
otherwise general board certification required
Current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac
Life Support Certification or must obtain within 90 days from date of hire and
maintain active certification
