The Executive Director, Intercon Markets Commercial Strategy & Performance is trusted thought-partner for the Commercial Lead of the Intercon Markets organization - who leverages disruptive and strategic thinking to help engineer greater Commercial success. They are a senior leader who transparently provides strategic insight into the underlying health of all prioritized products, across the I/O – IM – HEM portfolios, and across >20 Markets – in a manner which helps to unlock & activate upside Commercial potential. This Executive Director, lead a geographically-diverse and cross-functional team of high-performing Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A) individuals who provide day-to-day value-add support for each of the GMs, BUDs, and Finance leads across key Intercon Markets, and establish aspirational yet defendable revenue expectations for the company’s Intercon Markets footprint (across all products and TAs), ensure full understanding of underlying business dynamics, and provides transparency around business risks & opportunities.
Additionally this leader will maximize worldwide Commercial launch success and optimize go-to-market strategies by enabling enterprise-wide sharing of key launch learnings and best-practices, and establish a single-source of ‘Commercial truth’ for the top Intercon Markets, through a disciplined and consistent approach to decomposing Commercial performance, seamlessly integrating Competitive Intelligence & Market Research insights, and the scenario-planning of potential outcomes. In partnership with the WW & US Commercial Performance leads, work directly with various LT members to shape the internal/external company ‘narrative’ by providing the right insights to formalize effective & strategic “talking-points” and also partner with the broader BI&A organization to create and promote a global culture of diversity & inclusion, develop exciting insight & analytic career paths, and ensure appropriate levels of technical capability and subject matter expertise exists across all levels, functions, and geographies
Lead a geographically dispersed team of >50 individuals (including 25-30 BMS headcount and additional on-site/off-site consultants) across the largest Intercon markets, in support of key global leaders.
Generate & defend all Intercon inline/launch revenue scenarios (across all products & TAs) in support of strategic planning, financial budgets, projections, and R&Os
Responsible for consistently generating & communicating a detailed understanding of the Commercial performance of all products/TAs, including the maintenance of appropriate Chart Audits and projections of forward-looking trends
Work directly with several business unit heads- to create clear, reliable, and impactful “talking points” for both internal & external communications – including prep for all analyst meetings & conferences
Partner with Commercial business leaders to develop aspirational market-level budget/projection “targets”, and help translate these into action-plan guidance that can be used by Commercial markets around the world
Serve as the ICON point of contact for all Business-Development work requiring input, review, and/or endorsement from a regional perspective
Establish, embed, and maintain a single high-performing BI&A “culture” across all markets, across product/TA teams, and across legacy BMS/Celgene teams
Ensure cross-market utilization of standard methodologies, common output templates, and similar messaging
Drive the effective synthesis of Analytics, Forecasting, Customer Insights, and Sales Force Effectiveness work product through transparency, inclusiveness and pursuit of diverse perspectives
Partner to create and foster an approach to developing seamless collaborative cross-functional analytics teams/and holistic cross-customer analysis
Understand, demonstrate, and drive adherence to all BMS operating policies.
BA/BS required (quantitative area of study preferred)
MBA/other graduate degree preferred

Extensive experience working across various TAs
Ability to synthesize complex information sets & successfully communicate simply to the most senior leaders – leading to smart & data-driven decision making
Experience interpreting therapeutic markets and ascertaining implications to the business
Experience operating successfully in a complex organizational environment
Experience interacting with senior management, understanding, anticipating, and fulfilling their insight/ analytical information requirements
Extensive experience in the application of forecasting, advanced analytics and reporting techniques to solve business problems
Ability to effectively communicate with & strategically impact members of the C-Suite
Proven track-record of seamlessly managing multiple groups across a broad organization
Draw inferences from disparate pieces of data, identify key findings and link to implications and provide recommendations
Strong creative problem-solving skills to answer key business questions
Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and priorities
Superior analytical skills with understanding of qualitative design; data analysis; applied statistics; range-based forecasting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to quickly gain and apply therapeutic knowledge
Ability to learn new tools quickly
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse teams across organizational lines and structures
Proven knowledge of medical or healthcare marketplace dynamics
Proven ability to lead teams, influence cross-functionally and manage a heavy workload
Experience with forecasting/analytics, modeling platforms, data manipulation software and visualization tools (e.g. SAS, Tableau, Microsoft Suite and MicroStrategy) Familiarity with BMS proprietary applications, including forecasting and financial systems a significant plus
