Pharmaceutical Chemist Jobs

A pharmaceutical chemist confers with scientists and engineers to conduct analyses of research projects, interprets test results, and develops nonstandard tests. A pharmaceutical chemist schedules daily activities and ensures that testing is performed to support manufacturing activities. A pharmaceutical chemist oversees validations of analytical methods for use by the chemistry group. A pharmaceutical chemist ensures that the lab is aware of changes in regulations and that the lab stays in compliance with all applicable regulations. A pharmaceutical chemist assists in the performance of internal and external audits. A pharmaceutical chemist ensures that chemistry lab associates receive appropriate training to perform their duties. A pharmaceutical chemist ensures that a clean and safe working environment is maintained. A pharmaceutical chemist provides technical support to other departments. A pharmaceutical chemist analyzes organic and inorganic compounds to determine the chemical and physical properties, compositions, structures, relationships, and reactions of those compounds.
A pharmaceutical chemist position requires a BS degree in chemistry or biochemistry. A pharmaceutical chemist should have at least one to two years of experience in a lab environment. A pharmaceutical chemist should have basic analytical lab skills and solid report writing experience. Excellent communication skills and computer skills are also required.
