Organic Chemist Jobs
An organic chemist interacts with clients periodically regarding project requirements, clarifications, and updates. An organic chemist performs organic syntheses to support the research activities of other groups, in addition to working on the development of organic synthesis methodologies for research chemicals. An organic chemist carries out the synthesis of molecules as per the defined routines or defines the routines required to synthesize the molecules. An organic chemist monitors the performance of the chemists working on the given project and trains them wherever required. An organic chemist is also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the given project as per the IPR guidelines. An organic chemist also performs characterization studies of the physical and chemical properties of research chemicals. An organic chemist performs complex formulations and syntheses, component and materials evaluations, and equipment calibrations and maintenance. An organic chemist exhibits professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the given company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
An organic chemist position requires a BA or BS in chemistry and laboratory experience in the organic area. An organic chemist should have industrial experience of at least two years, preferably on medicinal chemistry projects. An organic chemist should be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. An organic chemist should have good initiative, be self-motivated, and possess good communication skills.
