Pharmacy Technician Jobs

A pharmacy technician provides superior customer service under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, performing non-discretionary tasks related to the preparation and distribution of prescription medications in accordance with company policies and procedures, state and federal law, and state board of pharmacy regulations.
A pharmacy technician assists with interviews of technician candidates and reference checks, providing input for the evaluation of candidates. A pharmacy technician coordinates maintenance of equipment and the facility and coordinates the ordering of supplies. A pharmacy technician organizes the handling/disposition of records and the necessary documentation of quality assurance activities. A pharmacy technician assists with inventory management and medication-recall activities. A pharmacy technician checks products prepared by other technicians as permitted by law. A pharmacy technician assists with the implementation of new services and/or the development of new procedures. A pharmacy technician works closely with the pharmacist, specifically to ensure the safe and accurate handling of each prescription.

A pharmacy technician should be a high school graduate or the equivalent. A pharmacy technician should have excellent customer service skills. A pharmacy technician should be detail-oriented in order to accurately fill medication orders. A pharmacy technician should have excellent problem solving and sound communication skills.
